What we covered here

• In court today: The jury in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ criminal trial has been dismissed for the day. “Jane,” one of Combs’ accusers who is using a pseudonym in court, is expected to be back on the stand tomorrow. Jane has been describing the drug-fueled sexual performances called “hotel nights” she said she endured during her relationship with Combs.

Mistrial motion denied: The judge this morning denied the defense’s second request for a mistrial. The defense team filed for the mistrial accusing prosecutors of presenting false testimony from witness Bryana Bongolan, who testified last week that Combs once dangled her over the 17th floor balcony.

Federal charges: Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges that include racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to life in prison.

Editor’s Note: If you or someone you know is struggling with intimate partner violence, there are resources available, including the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

Sean "Diddy" Combs watches with his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, as defense attorney Teny Geragos cross-examines "Jane" on Tuesday.

The cross-examination of “Jane,” one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ accusers who is testifying under a pseudonym, continued this afternoon.

Here’s what she said.

  • “The only option”: Jane testified that she agreed to sexual encounters with other men because she believed it was the only way to see Combs. During her cross-examination, she described one occasion when Combs asked if she wanted him to visit her home with an “entertainer,” and she said yes. Jane explained that she agreed to the encounter because “that was the only option I was given, and I wanted to see my lover.”
  • Other women: The jury saw text messages previously shown during direct examination in which Jane expressed frustration that Combs was pressuring her for a “hotel night” while spending time with another woman who was posting about their outing on social media. In one message, Jane referenced Combs buying the other woman a Chanel bag. During a tense exchange with Combs’ defense attorney, Teny Geragos, Jane said it bothered her that other women got nice gifts and trips from Combs, while she did not receive the same treatment — even when she agreed to have sex with strangers.
  • Excuses: Jane testified about a specific voice message exchange discussed during cross-examination, in which she and Combs talked about seeing each other. Combs suggested they set something up involving two entertainers they frequently used, but Jane replied that she thought he wanted to save that situation as a grand finale after he finished his album. Jane said she was actually trying to “make excuses to get out of this thing that he’s encouraging for me to set up.”
  • Current finances: Jane testified that she now lives in a home larger than her previous one and that she profited “a little bit” from the dress business Combs invested $20,000 in, as she previously mentioned. She also confirmed that Combs never asked for a share of the proceeds. When Geragos questioned her about her earlier testimony regarding her limited ability to work during her relationship with Combs, Jane said, “Had I not dove headstrong on this relationship, I probably would’ve been a bit more successful in that time frame.”

Jury is dismissed for the day

The jury has been dismissed for the day, and the lawyers have wrapped up as well.

The trial will continue tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET.

Jane: My positive messages about "hotel nights" were meant to ensure Combs didn't feel rejected

Jane and defense attorney Teny Geragos reviewed more sexually explicit text messages from 2021 in which Jane appeared to engage positively with Sean “Diddy” Combs about “hotel nights” and watching footage together from past “hotel nights.”

Jane said she would offer to watch footage from the sexual encounters because Combs liked to “recap” after a “hotel night.”

In other messages the jury saw, Combs told Jane they could be alone without an “entertainer” and didn’t have to do molly. Jane responded that she would believe when she saw it. She also wrote at the time that she knows Combs likes “hotel nights” and said she didn’t mind them.

Jane testified that she was positively reinforcing Combs about the “hotel nights” so Combs felt comfortable and didn’t feel rejected.

Jane says she profited "a little bit" from business Combs invested in

Court is back in session after the short afternoon break.

Jane testified that the home she lives in now is about 5,300 square feet, which is is significantly bigger than the 1,400-square-foot apartment she used to live in.

Jane said that she’s profited “a little bit” off a business that Sean “Diddy” Combs invested $20,000 into. She confirmed that Combs never asked her for a portion of the proceeds.

Defense attorney Teny Geragos pointed to Jane’s businesses and asked about her previous testimony that she wasn’t able to do anything during the years she was in a relationship with Combs.

“Had I not dove headstrong on this relationship, I probably would’ve been a bit more successful in that timeframe,” Jane said. “But that’s neither here nor there.”

“How much does my body cost?” Jane asks in tense exchange with attorney

June 10, 2025 - Day 20 of testimony in the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial | CNN (9)

Combs accuser “Jane" testifies on the stand under cross-examination by defense attorney Teny Geragos.

The jury heard voice messages that Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jane exchanged on November 22, 2021, when they were discussing seeing each other.

Combs said she could set something up, and said “the last vision we had” involved two of the “entertainers” they frequently used, Don and Sly.

Jane sent back a voice message saying she thought he wanted to save that situation as a “grand finale” once he finished his album. She testified that she was “trying to make excuses to get out of this thing that he’s encouraging for me to set up.”

Jane testified that after these audio messages, she saw on social media that Combs was spending time with another woman. That led into a text conversation prosecutors brought up on direct testimony previously.

“I thought on a quick one to two-day trip you just wanted to see me, but wanted a Don and Sly moment within that time, hotel vibes,” Jane sent in one of the later messages.

The jury saw text messages that had been shown on direct examination — messages in which Jane expresses frustration that Combs is pressuring her for a “hotel night” but is with another woman who’s posting their quality time on her social media. In one text, Jane references that Combs bought the other woman a Chanel bag.

In what became a tense exchange with defense attorney Teny Geragos, Jane said she didn’t garner much from the relationship. It bothered her that other women got nice gifts and excursions from Combs, who she said didn’t give her that same treatment even when she gave in to sex with strangers.

Geragos reminded Jane at this point that Combs gifted her a Van Cleef necklace and a Bottega Veneta bag. Jane confirmed he did, and then quipped at Geragos, “I’m sure you have one.” Geragos said she didn’t.

Geragos then asked, “How much do Bottega bags run?”

Jane shot back: “How much does my body cost?”

The judge cautioned Jane to answer the questions as asked.

When Geragos asked again how much a Bottega Veneta bag costs, Jane said they range from $1,500 to $5,000. When asked, Jane said she didn’t know how much a Chanel bag costs.

Jane then asked for a break.

Jane says she agreed to sexual encounters with other men because she thought it was the only way to see Combs

Defense attorney Teny Geragos showed the jury more texts, these from November 2021, between Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jane planning to see each other.

In the messages, Combs told Jane to “be explicit,” prompting her to send explicit messages about sex acts with Combs and an “entertainer.”

Geragos and Jane read some of the messages aloud in the courtroom. Jane testified that she spoke in graphic sexual language knowing that’s what Combs wanted.

After exchanging a series of “fantasy” messages about the “entertainers,” Combs asked what Jane wanted to do.

She wrote that she wanted to “spend time with [her] favorite person,” meaning Combs. Combs then asked Jane if she wanted him to stop by with an “entertainer.”

Jane testified she said yes to the sexual encounter with the “entertainer” at her home because it was the only way to see Combs.

The jury saw more messages between Combs and Jane, in which Combs asked her, “You can’t handle no more?”

Jane testified that Combs was trying to encourage her to have sex with someone else.

“The undertone of that is I can’t handle anymore, kind of teasing or taunting me to have one of these nights,” she said.

Jane confirmed she and Combs had a “hotel night” after these messages.

Defense asks Jane about 2021 texts to Combs and an adult performer

The cross-examination of “Jane,” one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ accusers who is using a pseudonym and dated Combs from 2021 to 2024, has continued after the lunch break. Defense attorney Teny Geragos read aloud some of Jane’s text messages from around Halloween 2021.

Jane texted Combs that she wanted to see him, and Combs responded that he had a rough day and wanted her to “lead tonight.”

Jane responded they should freshen up, have a drink, and see where the night takes them. Combs said he “didn’t feel like being around people,” according to the texts read in court.

On the stand, Jane confirmed they had a “hotel night” after those messages.

The next day, Jane texted the adult performer “Sly,” asking for explicit videos, according to the messages read in court. Jane testified that she was with Combs at the time, and he was asking her to reach out to Sly for those videos.

A few days after that, Jane texted Sly about coming to visit and said “I’ll organize.” Jane testified that she was with Combs at the time and they were trying to figure out if and when they would see Sly.

Judge is back on the bench

Judge Arun Subramanian is back on the bench after the lunch break.

The trial is expected to adjourn for the day at 3 p.m. ET. Defense attorney Teny Geragos said she’s on track to finish her cross-examination of Jane on Thursday, with plenty of time for prosecutor Maurene Comey to question Jane on redirect and get Jane off the stand by the end of Thursday.

The judge previously said court would run from 1 to 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday.

Jane’s earlier testimony is "critical" to the sex trafficking allegations, legal analyst says

"Jane" testifies on the stand on Tuesday.

“Jane,” one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ accusers testifying under a pseudonym, is undergoing cross-examination this morning. Her earlier testimony during direct questioning has been “critical” to the government’s case, according to CNN legal analyst Joey Jackson.

“She is critical with regard to the sex trafficking allegations because we’re talking about whether or not this was consensual,” Jackson told CNN. “With respect to the actual things that she says (during testimony), I think she furthers that narrative.”

Jackson said Jane’s testimony about telling Combs she no longer wanted to participate in the “hotel nights” or be what she described as the “side chick” in her own relationship, as well as telling Combs she felt like she was “reading my own sexual trauma” in Cassie Ventura’s civil lawsuit, speaks to the broader sex trafficking charge.

“This goes to the broader issues not only of proving the charges but to the issue of pattern, the issue of physical abuse, the issue of psychological abuse, the issue, from the prosecution’s perspective, that this is his MO and that’s critical,” Jackson added.

Jackson says the defense will likely focus on the “voluntary participation” angle, given Jane and Combs’ years-long relationship, as cross-examination continues.

“These are the narratives, coercion or voluntary participation,” Jackson said.

Jane says she doesn't think Combs' workers saw them with "entertainers" during deliveries

Shortly before the lunch break, Jane said she didn’t think any of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ employees saw that she and Combs were with an “entertainer” at times when they delivered cash to a hotel room.

Jane said she didn’t think the employees ever came inside the hotel rooms in the middle of a sexual encounter.

Jane also testified she didn’t believe Kristina Khorram, Combs’ then-chief of staff, knew about the “hotel nights” with “entertainers.” She also confirmed that Combs specifically didn’t want Khorram to know when he was partying because she disapproved and wanted him to focus more on his business.

Defense attorney Teny Geragos also returned to Jane’s previous testimony about her conversation with Khorram in which Jane alleged Combs threatened her about her sex tapes. Jane testified that she felt comforted by Khorram’s assurances that nothing was going to happen. She said Combs gave her space after that conversation, and she believes Khorram made sure that happened.

Sean Combs listens during his trial on Tuesday.

“Jane,” one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ accusers who is testifying under a pseudonym, began her cross-examination this morning. Combs’ defense attorney, Teny Geragos, conducted the questioning.

Here’s what she said:

  • “Emotional pressure”: When Combs’ defense attorney asked Jane if she regretted many of the choices she made during her relationship with Combs, Jane testified, “I resent him for leading me to the lifestyle he led me to,” adding that her “choices were made under a lot of emotional pressure.” She also said she took ecstasy because she felt Combs expected her to. Despite her resentment, Jane testified that she still loves him.
  • On and off: Jane testified that she and Combs would get back together after periods of not speaking because “we missed each other.” She confirmed that she chose to get back together with Combs on her own, later adding that she was “fascinated by him” and that he would “uplift me.”
  • Finances: Jane testified that Combs provided her with financial support, wiring her more than $150,000 over the course of their relationship. “I never really counted, but I would assume, yeah, that would be close,” she said. Jane also stated that Combs invested about $20,000 in her dress line and, outside of their relationship, paid $10,000 per month for her rent. She testified that she received $4,700 per month in child support from another source. While dating Combs, Jane said she earned only about 10% of her potential income as a social media influencer.
  • Polyamory: Early in the relationship, Jane testified that Combs told her he led a “polyamorous” dating lifestyle, which she said she did not mind at first. However, as the relationship progressed, she said it became difficult. “I was feeling my man and wanted him to be mine,” Jane testified. She also said she took issue with Combs’ public relationship with Yung Miami, while her own relationship with Combs remained private. “I didn’t sign up to date a man that was in a public relationship,” she said.
  • Garnering affection: Jane testified that there were aspects of their “hotel nights” she enjoyed. “The portion of me and him, yes, I loved that part,” she said, explaining that these moments occurred before the entertainer’s arrival and after they left. During these times, Jane said, Combs was “the most affectionate” and gave her the attention she wanted. She added that on rare occasions, the “hotel nights” ended early after she expressed discomfort, but only after she had attempted to engage in sexual interactions with the entertainers for a period of time.
  • Dynamics: Jane testified that she was not very close with Combs’ chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, which she said made her relationship with Combs more difficult because Khorram was always with him. Jane believed Khorram had “very strong opinions” about her that “influenced a great deal of how Sean also treated me.” She also recounted conversations with Khorram about traveling to Miami with drugs for Combs, testifying that Khorram told her it was fine and that she did it all the time.

Court is taking a lunch break

The jury has been dismissed for lunch, and court is set to resume around 1:20 p.m. ET.

Jane answers questions about reaching out to "entertainers"

Defense attorney Teny Geragos has been asking Jane about her interactions with certain “entertainers” who would be used during “hotel nights” with Combs, and about which ones she liked and reached out to for the encounters.

Jane confirmed she found one handsome and also had chemistry with another.

Geragos returned to Jane’s testimony about how they got involved with another adult performer, called “Sly.” Jane testified that she and Combs were watching Sly’s pornographic videos one night before she reached out to him.

Geragos asked Jane if she went on her own social media account to look up Sly’s profile. “With the encouragement of my partner,” Jane said. Geragos asked if it was Jane’s idea to privately message him. “Given the context of what was happening in my relationship, yes,” Jane responded.

Geragos asked if Combs asked her to reach out to Sly, or if he was encouraging it. “He was encouraging it,” Jane said.

Jane describes her difficult relationship with Combs' chief of staff

Defense attorney Teny Geragos read messages between Jane and Kristina Khorram, who was Sean “Diddy” Combs’ chief of staff, around the times Combs asked Jane to bring drugs to Miami for him.

Jane previously testified that she spoke with Khorram on the phone, and Khorram told her it was fine and instructed Jane to put the drugs in her checked luggage.

The messages read aloud did not include Khorram saying that, but Jane maintained that she spoke on the phone with Khorram about it.

Geragos asked if Khorram would fly on Combs’ private plane when she traveled with him. Jane said she assumed so but said she wasn’t sure.

Jane testified that she and Khorram were not close, and she said that Khorram didn’t like her.

Jane said that her dynamic with Khorram was hard on her relationship with Combs because the employee was always with Combs.

Defense asks about Combs' reactions to Jane crying after two "hotel nights"

Defense attorney Teny Geragos revisited two occasions in which Jane had testified that she cried after a “hotel night.”

On one occasion at the beginning of her relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jane cried when Combs was going to leave her soon after a “hotel night,” she testified.

When asked, Jane confirmed that when she asked Combs to stay with her to comfort her, he rearranged his plans so he could.

On another occasion toward the middle of their relationship, Jane recalled, she cried in the shower with Combs after a “hotel night.”

Geragos asked Jane to confirm that Combs was high on ecstasy at the time.

Jane confirmed Combs said he was “too high” to see her cry and said, “you’re gonna ruin my high.”

Jane says there were "rare" occasions where the "hotel nights" ended early

Jane confirmed that there were a few occasions when Sean “Diddy” Combs ended a hotel night early when she vocalized that she wanted to stop.

She testified that there were a few “rare” occasions when Combs agreed to dismiss an “entertainer” when she wasn’t attracted to or comfortable with the them — but only after she tried to have sexual interactions with the men for a period of time.

Defense attorney Teny Geragos tried to suggest that Combs readily agreed to dismiss the men when she wasn’t comfortable, but Jane pushed back that she had to endure sexual interactions with the men first.

Jane was OK with "hotel night" video recordings, she says in cross-examination

Jane confirmed that she was OK with the “hotel nights” being filmed, and that Sean “Diddy” Combs told her the videos were just for the two of them.

“You put on a good show for him in these videos because you knew he would watch them back?” defense attorney Teny Geragos asked.

“Yes,” Jane responded.

Geragos suggested that Jane liked watching the videos back with Combs, but Jane said she just accepted that.

“I did not like that part, but it was just a part of the relationship,” Jane said.

Jane says Combs was more affectionate than usual during "hotel nights"

Defense attorney Teny Geragos suggested that Jane told prosecutors that she enjoyed “just about every minute” with Combs during “hotel nights.”

“During ‘hotel nights,’ the portion of me and him, yes, I loved that part,” Jane responded.

She testified that they would have some alone time for about 30 minutes to an hour before the “entertainer” came and after they left, and that she enjoyed when the two of them would make love.

Jane confirmed that Combs gave her the attention and affection she wanted during “hotel nights.”

Jane confirmed that red lights and baby oil were not exclusively used for “hotel nights.” Combs used them in his private residence for their other sexual encounters as well, she said.
