The Tournament of Souls is a metagame that can be accessed through the LoL client. The game entails playing as Samira using her unique abilities and movesets to defeat the rest of the Soul Fighters. Defeating enemies on the other hand especially for the expert mode can be pretty difficult as it requires proper movesets and timing to be able to execute a good play. All Samira’s abilities in LoL Tournament of Souls
Before knowing the right combination of abilities to use, one must first understand the ability itself and its effect.
Q | Gun
Quickshot - Fire a fast shot for 160 damage. When used to change weapons, fires twice.
Piercing Precision - 3 piercing shots for a total of 210 damage that break shields and increase the duration of airborne.
Deadshot - Puncturing shot that deals 70 damage and causes bleeding for 160 damage over 4s. If already bleeding, the initial shot deals 4x damage.
W | Sword
Sky Scraper - Upward slash for 230 damage that sends the enemy airborne.
Back Atcha - Spin twice for 60 damage, blocking all damage and status effects while reflecting a max of 500 damage back to an opponent for 1s. If Samira blocks 300 damage or greater, gain one additional style point.
Blade Drain - Slice twice for 175 damage, healing 250 total. If the enemy is wounded, heal double.
E | Sword
Severe Strike - Stab forward for 265 damage inflicting wounded for 4s. If the enemy is bleeding, refresh the bleed duration.
Twilight Rush - Dash forward for 100 damage, breaking shields, and place a sticky bomb that explodes for 130, damaging all enemies after 2s. Following with a gun ability detonates early, causing the grenade to critically strike.
Style on ’Em - Slash rapidly, dealing 230 damage, and gain one additional style point. If enemy is airborne, deal 50% bonus damage.
R | Neutral
Chaotic Daybreak - Increase crit chance from 25% to 75% for 10s, and unleash a torrent of shots for 700 damage.
Immortal Inferno - Unleash a torrent of shots for 550 damage, healing a total of 500.
Some of these abilities can only be unlocked after eliminating another champion.

All Status Effects in LoL Tournament of Souls
- Airborne - Knocked into the sky and unable to use abilities for a set time.
- Resist - Take reduced incoming damage.
- Stealthed - Invulnerable to most incoming damage, except damage over time.
- Crit Up - Increased critical hit chance.
- Unstoppable - Abilities cannot be interrupted.
- Bleeding - Taking damage over time.
- Stunned - Cannot attack or take any actions.
- Siphoned - A portion of health is stolen and can only be recovered by dealing damage. If stolen health is not recovered in time, Samira takes damage equal to the amount of stolen health and the debuff ends.
- Wounded - Healing is reduced.
- FATAL - Marked for death—will be executed the next time they are damaged by an Ultimate ability.

How to Defeat Gwen in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Deadshot (Q3), Blade Drain (W3), Severe Strike (E1), Chaotic Daybreak (R1)
In the first battle for the expert mode, you’ll have to fight against Gwen. As for Gwen, time is going to be a big problem if you’re not able to counter her healing. The first opponent has the ability to restore a large chunk of her health, which means that it will take more time before you can defeat her– that's something that should not happen.
When picking the ability for Samira, you will require something that can counter healing. Hence, you will need Severe Strike (E1) as it applies the wound effect. This status effect though only lasts for 4s; therefore you must apply this effect within 4s before she heals herself. Doing this, though requires timing. For the rest of the fight, all you have to do is to deal continuous damage over time.
Start the game using W to switch from gun to sword to gain one stack of Style and continue to deal damage using Q and W for damage, and heal (double heal if used after E). When Gwen is about to heal, there will be a cue, so get ready to use E to apply the wound effect.
There will be instances where Gwen will be unstoppable and the damage she receives will be reduced. Having that said, it is not ideal to use important damaging abilities, especially your ultimate.
How to Defeat Lux in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Quickshot (Q1), Back Atcha (W2), Twilight Rush (E2), Chaotic Daybreak (R1)
When fighting Lux, timing is everything; otherwise the battle will be a massive headache. Lux’s key abilities include a shield that allows her to reduce the damage she will receive and an ultimate that can 100% oneshot you.
Lux will alternately use shield and ultimate in between basic attacks, and all you have to do is to time your abilities when she uses it. Hence, you’ll have to reserve W for the ultimate and E when the shield is up. Do not use W for her other attacks as it has a long cooldown. As much as possible, you need to apply damage whenever possible.
Use Q off cooldown or the E > Q to detonate the bomb for extra damage. Be careful though as if she hasn't used her ultimate yet, there's a chance that she will cast her ultimate right after the shield. So, wait for a bit before casting Q after E.
How to Defeat Naafiri in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Quickshot (Q1), Blade Drain (W3), Twilight Rush (E2), Chaotic Daybreak (R1)
Fighting Naafiri is actually way easier than most of the soul fighters and is pretty straightforward. The only thing that you should consider is her ability to put up a shield, hence you’ll need abilities that can break it.
Start with E > Q > W > Q > E > Q > R then wait for the shield to appear. Once the shield is up, use E to destroy the shield then repeat the combo.

How to Defeat Jhin in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Quickshot (Q1), Back Atcha (W2), Style on ’Em (E3), Chaotic Daybreak (R1)
Defeating Jhin is pretty much like how you counter him in a normal League game. Jhin will fire four shots. The fourth shot though should be blocked using W as it deals large amount of damage. This also goes the same with his ultimate. You can look at the bullets just right below to know when he’s about to fire his fourth shot.
How to Defeat Pyke in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Deadshot (Q3), Blade Drain (W3), Severe Strike (E1), Immortal Inferno (R2)
If there’s one thing that you shouldn't do when fighting Pyke, it is to never let your health go below a certain threshold. Because if you do, you’ll be executed instantly. Hence, aside from dealing damage, you need to make sure that your health won’t go low enough, and that is by the help of abilities that can heal. Hence, you need this kind of build.
Severe Strike allows you to double the heal you’re about to receive from Blade Drain thanks to its wound effect.
As for the combo, you can use E > Q > W and spam abilities off cooldown. Also take note that the wound effect from E only lasts for 4s, so make sure that you could use your W within those period to be able to get the enhanced heal.
How to Defeat Evelynn in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Deadshot (Q3), Back Atcha (W2), Severe Strike (E1), Chaotic Daybreak (R1)
This ability set focuses on dealing more damage through Samira's attacks and bleed. Your second ability on the other hand will be useful to counter her ultimate that can otherwise take a large chunk of your health.
Use Q>E>Q off cooldown for the bleed effect and to refresh its duration. You can also use W at the early second of the stage to block some attacks and to gain extra stack of style, but be mindful of the cooldown. Ideally, you would want to reserve W for Evelynn’s special ability.
Occasionally, Evelynn will hide under a stealth then a heart icon which is her charm will appear on the screen. It is advisable to turn on your sound to hear the heartbeat that you must listen to carefully. Immediately use W the moment you hear the third heartbeat to be able to dodge the special ability.

Similar to the rest of the champions, fighting against Sett requires timing as well. Also, there are things that you should keep in mind during the fight.
At the start of the round, Sett will lift you up in the sky and will eventually took out half of your health. So, right at the very start of the round, deal some damage by using E > Q.
After this, Sett will use his W that will give him a shield before casting a devastating attack that will instantly oneshot you. During this part, you need to break the shield with E, followed by Q.
On some instances, Sett will also unleash a series of punch and the second part of it will stun you. Make sure to hit your W while he’s hitting you to cancel the second batch of attacks.
How to Defeat Shaco in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Quickshot (Q1), Back Atcha (W2), Twilight Rush (E2), Chaotic Daybreak (R1)
Defeating Shaco requires proper use of abilities to counter his attacks and timing as well.
Shaco has two sets of attacks and here’s how you should counter it.
- Shaco disappears and will reappear with a clone by his side. Cast your E and Q to destroy the clone. Afterwards, a box will be left which will stun you for a short duration.
- The second one will make Shaco disappear for much longer, and a jungle icon will appear just below his HP bar. Once he reappears, he will deal a devastating amount of damage to you. To counter this, simply use W the moment you see Shaco again, or when the jungle icon starts to blink.
Only use basic attacks when he’s not using his abilities. Make sure to refrain from casting your ultimate right before destroying the clone, as the box will stun you and cancel your ultimate.
How to Defeat Viego in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Deadshot (Q3), Blade Drain (W3) and Severe Strike (E1) Immortal Inferno (R2)
You will need these abilities when fighting against Viego. Particularly, you need Severe Strike as he will heal himself and failing to apply the wound effect will surely make you lose the fight. Start with the E>Q>W combo, followed by another Q. After doing so, wait for the screen to go dark, so you can easily time your E when he starts to heal. During this part, you can continue with the E>Q>W then you’re ultimate will be available, so use it right away.
For the rest of the fight, continue doing this while making sure that you’ll hit your E as soon as the screen goes dark.
How to Defeat God's Eye Viego in LoL Tournament of Souls
Abilities: Piercing Precision (Q2), Sky Scraper (W1), Style on ’Em (E3) Chaotic Daybreak (R1)
For the last stage of the expert mode, you’ll have to consider his abilities. There will be instances where Viego will apply Siphon which will steal a portion of your health and you will notice that a chunk of your health will turn into purple. When this occurs, deal as much damage so you can recover health. Failing to do so will cause you to eventually lose that health. Sett and Lux will also appear on some instances. As we know, Pyke and Lux’s abilities in the previous fight involved putting up a shield. Having that said, it is imperative to use Piercing Precision to break shield. Also, be careful not to use your ultimate when the armor buff is up.
As for the combo, you can opt for the W>Q>E. This combo allows you to apply airborne, extend the duration and deal twice the damage.
